Cheers Steve - I'll plod on with show details as and when I digitise them. I'll hopefully add references to all the shows that I've got outside of 93-98 too. I'll aim for a couple of show rips a week.

Just to clarify - I don't really want any help in digitising shows, I'd be more than a bit nervous of passing on the tapes at all. I'm really looking for someone for me  to pass the wav/mp3 files onto so that they can be distributed more widely.  I don't use torrents or any flac-suitable systems, so the wav files have just been stored so far. I've used rapidshare etc in the past for mp3 but I've not got the fastest connection and find it more than a bit frustrating. I'll happily cover postage costs from this end if somebody offers to distribute via a Peel website/torrent.

Hi Andrew.

Many thanks for your message. OK, got it. Sorry if I got the wrong end of the stick. I'll add your message to the wiki to clarify what kind of help you're looking for.

Incidentally, I just sent in a message to the Peel group from someone who seems to be looking for one of the shows you mention, as he was in a band that appeared on it apparently.

Maybe you can work something out on that one.

Incidentally, as I'm sure you know already, some of the basic tracklist info might be available at the following:
http://www.avistic.demon.co.uk/playlists/

Not suggesting this as a ripoff thing, but think it's probably legitimate to get help when listening to the show to check the tracks.

This could be something for wider discussion on the list. Subject of using info from Ken's book is already there.

Anyway, don't think the site covers the whole period of your collection, so it would only be a limited help in this case.

Cheers,

Steve

Yeah cheers, I'll be using this wherever I can - especially for the labels etc

1999 will be particularly useful when I get started on that one...

Hi Andrew. I'm the guy that Steve just mentioned that's looking for a copy of one of your shows. Obviously I'm happy to help out in whatever way i can. Is it just a case of uploading your files to a place like rapidshare or megaupload? If so I'd be willing to do that no problem. If it's torrents you're after that could be a bit more tricky as although i use torrents I wouldn't know exactly 'where' to upload them to, although if anybody can advise me in that direction I'd happily seed any shows for as long as necessary.

Sorry if this is a bit confusing- let us know anyway!
cheers.

Great stuff! Many thanks for posting the clip. Look forward to hearing the full show at some point.

Just to let people know here, was thinking to shift discussion about the Wiki to the Wiki itself, so have activated a couple of forums over there (appears like there's not many takers yet).

Seems to make sense and avoids cluttering up the forum here, although the site forums are a bit clunky compared with the one. Have already announced this on the Peel newsgroup.

See you over there! Or carry on here if you like...
