Hi Kris! This blog has had some wicked stuff on it in the past, so I'm really glad you're back again.

To start the requests ball rolling, I remember an amazing Culture session track being played on Radio 1 in the aftermath of Peel's death, but I haven't a clue what it was called. But if you have any of Culture's sessions you can put up, that would be amazing! Very Happy

I think the track your refering to is probably "Lion Rock" which appeared on the first Culture session back in 1983. I'm busy digitalizing it as we speak so it should be on the site very very soon.

Hi mate, I wonder if I could shamelessly use your excellent site to request any of the Fuck Peel sessions: notwithstanding their name, I heard a sample of their music and it was rather good.

The Quickspace sessions are now up as per request. Unfortunately I don't seem to have any of the Fuck sessions. I was pretty sure I had them but all evidence seems to have vanished. They're probably on a hard drive which gave up the ghost some time ago and I can't afford to get repaired but someone out there must have them so if you are that someone please get in touch.

I have the Peel Fuck sessions although I suspect the first one may be a track short.
I think I'll have to adjust filenames to get through filters though!

A bit of a delay in posting the Fuck sessions
I've found a couple of corrupted CD in my archives . I've recovered most of it but the 3rd Fuck session has gone so if anyone else can fill the gap....
I'll put the first 2 sessions up as soon as I've sorted things out properly
I now archive all my stuff on DVD and have had no problems with that but for awhile first of all I used CDs and the readers on my computers struggle with a few of them ... technology advances!!

Blancmange - there are 1 Peel session and 3 Evening Show sessions
I have them all but I can't put them up for a short while.
I am doing some emergency copying of files from CDs to DVDs which has some priority
If you still need them in a couple of weeks remind me and I'll put them up

By spooky coincidence, the Delgados tape that Stephen over at the newsgroup was requesting was one of 10 shows that I pulled out at the weekend to start digitising - I'll try to get something sorted for the weekend (can't reply over there just now, don't have a yahoo id at the moment)

fingers crossed it wasn't at the start or the end of the show...

I picked this one cause it was included in Ken's book as a classic session, so it should be worth a listen anyway

Can anyone tell me if the session the Clouds did for the BBC was for Peel or Janice Long? Also when it was transmitted?

Your confusion is because there were 2 different bands called Clouds
One did a Peel session 23-11-91 and the other did a Long session 23-4-87
